October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. If you have put off your mammogram then there is no time like the present to get it done. My husband is a radiologist and reads mammograms regularly. He says that if you catch it early, in most cases it GREATLY increases survival, and lessens the amount of treatment needed. We would also like to remember the ones that fought this battle. We have several things in the store that support this cause.

This year has been the best year yet for us here at The Beadcage. We would like to get the word out to all of Columbus and surrounding areas that we are a great gift store, not just beads. Everyone that comes in the store that's never been in The Beadcage gets a complimentary gift. No purchase is necessary but we would like you to remember us when you feel like shopping or you need a gift. If you have been in The Beadcage bring another "local" person in and they get a complimentary gift plus you get a complimentary gift also. If you haven't stopped by in a while, come see us, you'll be surprised at how much we've grown. Our goal is to get 1000 people who have never been in the store to come in. Most people think "The Beadcage" is all or mostly beads. We are less than 1/2 beads, and we pride ourselves on having a HUGE selection on wonderful gifts. Don't get me wrong we have the best selection of beads for miles around.

Part 2 of our message. Along with being a wonderful gift shop, we have excellent customer service. We just hired 5 new people that have joined our family this week. We spend at least 2 weeks training them on our products and designing and repairing jewelry. Then it takes another 6 weeks before they are fully trained. The Beadcage tries our best to have plenty of people working to greet and make all customers feel welcome. Also if you have a question we have the answer or we have someone in the building that has the answer. When you come in to shop we aren't high pressure sales, but more of educators about our products. All of our sales staff do not work on commision, so no sales pressure. Most all the associates own or have tried the products in the store. We offer complimentary gift wrapping with all purchases. Once someone comes in The Beadcage we notice they come back over and over.

In November we are getting some exciting things: fold n go bags, rolling carts, aluminum framed canvas baskets, lots of bargains on ceramic holiday gifts and great holiday jewelry.
